Saw a relatively new German film called Cloud Nine. It's about a romantic/sexual triangle between a woman and two men, one her companion for a very long time, the other someone she meets while tailoring (and wanting to get into) his pants.Been done a million times you say. Probably being redone by someone in Hollywood at this very moment. But what makes Cloud Nine different, memorable, important, and lovely, is that the 2 male characters are in their 70s, the woman in her late 60s. There is plenty of detailed, on-going, sometimes quite graphic, and always lusty sexual activity, including full frontal of both the men and the woman. There's also a lengthy, silent, lovingly shot scene in which she (and we) can examine the reality of her naked aging body from every angle. It's all sensual, erotic, romantic, and best of all --- unapologetic.
Hooray, I say.
Watching the movie considerably brightened my day, maybe even my decade. Put me on Cloud Nine, so to speak.
